My name is Madi Buldra, and I am from the Minnesota/Wisconsin border. I am 21 years old, currently attending college at John Brown University in NW Arkansas. My major is Family & Human Services- so basically, I just love people!
At school, I am involved in Residence Life as the Assistant Resident Director over my dorm building and RA team, as well as a supervisor at the Health Complex on campus.
For fun, I love to travel to all the places, swim almost anywhere, walk our beautiful Arkansan trails, read, drink tea, spend quality time with my sweet friends, and (my personal favorite) worship JESUS all. the. time.!
Over the past two and a half years, the Lord has shown me what it looks like to truly walk in the power of His Holy Spirit & choose Him in every moment of the day- even in the mundane moments like brushing teeth, combing hair, and doing homework. He is in it all! It is all a way to worship the King who has created everything we are.
In Fall of 2020, the Lord told me to start learning Spanish. Without any context or passion for such a call, I chose to say “yes” to my Father and enroll in Elementary Spanish I at my university. By the Grace of God, I have LOVED every second of pressing into this beautiful new language and culture. Some of my best friends are from Central America & have so graciously helped me along the way.
I know that God has called me to Costa Rica for a short time this summer, and I believe He has purpose behind that. I am so excited to press into ministry in a new culture & context, and continue to entrust my life to Jesus as His vessel.
I believe my lifelong ministry will be rooted in my deep, deep longing to see people walk in the FREEDOM and the FULLNESS that is found only in Christ. Through partnering with the Costa Rican Ministries, I am expectant to grow with Jesus & learn how to embody His love and truth offered for all.
